Experience

I provide one-on-one tutoring for students preparing for the ACT, SAT, PSAT, and/or SAT II Subject Tests. I also tutor students in any level of mathematics which includes Pre-algebra through AP Calculus AB/BC. I have 4 years of experience tutoring students in math and reading/literature through a tutoring institution (Kumon) and numerous volunteering programs, and I've helped students prepare for standardized tests for the past year and a half. In college, I have tutored students through the Project Excite Program through Northwestern University School of Education and Social Policy (SESP) in the Evanston area. I believe one-on-one tutoring is a great way to help students achieve success, whether it be to catch up in school, prepare for a test, or earn an A in a class. I enjoy the opportunity to foster that success and build students’ confidence in their academics. I am laid-back and very approachable as a tutor, and I love to talk to students about anything to their liking, in addition to the material covered in a tutoring session. It makes it easier for the student to ask any questions or communicate any concerns to me. I'm flexible with scheduling and rates, as I accommodate for the student/student's parents as much to get them as much as help as I can.

Hobbies

I absolutely love to tutor and work with students so they can improve academically and I have a chance to engage with my community as well. Other than tutoring, I'm very musically oriented, as I play the piano and violin for much of my life, for fun and formal performances. I also spend my time volunteering in a number of programs for environmental consciousness and student outreach for those who struggle to get the help they need in school.
