I am a first year student studying computer science at Northwestern University, where I am enrolled in the McCormick School of Engineering. I have experience privately tutoring a range of subjects to many individuals. Through this experience, I have discovered that teaching students is a passion of mine.In order to be a good teacher, one must be patient, creative, and committed to fulfilling the needs of his or her students. I believe that tutoring is a rewarding experience because it allows me to help impart my knowledge onto those struggling with difficult ideas and concepts. I feel an overwhelming drive to help others through educational empowerment. Having the opportunity to teach is just as rewarding to me as overcoming an educational hurdle is for the learner. I feel that it is a privilege to be part of the educational process, where I get to contribute to the academic growth and development of my students.I have experience tutoring advanced courses and standardized test preparation. I am also available to assist in college level mathematics, such as calculus, computer programming, and linear algebra. When I am not studying, I like to listen to music. Jazz is my favorite genre. I can also play the piano, trumpet, and guitar.
