With ten years of tutoring experience encompassing various ages, economic classes, and racial groups, I provide a diversity that allows me to help any student reach his or her goals with relevant materials and discussions. I maintain the integrity of the subject, and honor the individual goals of every learner. Whether a study session features multiple people or occurs one-on-one, I keep the lesson upbeat and to the point. After spending time with a student, I develop a structure that changes each student's weakness into a strength via those specific materials and discussions. These structured lesson plans have helped my students improve in numerous areas such as essay writing, grammar, public speaking, rhetoric, and test prep for all levels of learning.I learned how to tackle educational challenges when I earned my B.A. in English at the University of Michigan-Flint. My B.A. work involved studying composition, literary studies, and rhetoric. I finished the classes for a master's in English from Grand Valley State University, and have used this valuable classroom time to show students what the world expects of them.For fun, I really enjoy creative writing and art such as watercolors. I also like to stay active via running and biking.
