Experience
I am an incoming freshman at Yale University and recently graduated from New Trier High School. I love science and the humanities. I have tutored throughout high school in science, English, history, math, and standardized tests. I've helped peers as well as younger kids as a coach for my middle school Science Olympiad team. I love to help others understand difficult concepts or find straggles to succeed; it's a passion of mine and one I personally enjoy and take pride in. I am well-versed in a variety of areas and can help with reading/writing strategies, chemistry, college essays, math, history, SAT, and more. On AP tests, I scored 5's on Microeconomics, Macroeconomics, BC Calculus, US History, English Language & Composition, Chemistry, Spanish Language, and Biology. I scored 1570 on the SAT (23/24 essay) and a 35 on the ACT (11/12 essay). I received my school's Department Awards for Excellence in History and English and was also awarded the Helen Morrow Scholarship for passion in the social studies. I won 3rd place in Protein Modeling at the Science Olympiad National Tournament and placed top-10 in 4 events at Nationals. I was also captain of the team that won 1st place at the Northwestern Economics Tournament and 2nd place at the Illinois Economics Challenge State Finals. Finally, I was a National Merit Scholar Finalist.

Hobbies
I love sports, going outside, and writing. I played Varsity golf and went down state to play at the IHSA State Finals. I have also grown to enjoy discussions of politics and philosophy as a member of the Congressional debate team. Further, I have also been captain of the Science Olympiad team for the last years and led New Trier to an 8th place team finish at the 2019 National Tournament (our best finish since 2012).
